Fintech Scotland Festival 2025
Atlantic Fintech Announces Partnership with Fintech Scotland and Invites You to Scotland’s Fintech Festival 2025
Atlantic Fintech is excited to announce a partnership with Fintech Scotland, a leading organization in Europe’s vibrant fintech cluster. This collaboration strengthens the transatlantic connection between Atlantic Canada’s rapidly growing fintech ecosystem and Scotland’s thriving fintech sector, creating new opportunities for innovation, investment, and international growth. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to fostering innovation, scaling fintech ventures, and expanding international opportunities for companies on both sides of the Atlantic.
Scotland is home to over 250 fintech companies, spanning diverse areas such as payments, blockchain, open banking, and regulatory technology, with an impressive 8% employment growth in fintech recorded in 2024. This growth has brought the total number of people working in the sector to more than 11,300 employees, a figure driven by a tenfold increase in fintech SMEs since 2018. The Scottish fintech cluster benefits from strong university partnerships, advanced data and AI innovation hubs, and significant investment, including £18 million raised through initiatives like the Financial Regulation Innovation Lab (FRIL).
As part of this partnership, we are thrilled to extend a warm invitation to all Atlantic Canadian fintechs to join Scotland’s Fintech Festival 2025, taking place in-person from September 22nd to 26th, now entering its eighth successful year.
What distinguishes this festival is its comprehensive three-day program filled with valuable industry insights, interactive workshops, and high-impact networking sessions – presenting a unique opportunity for fintech startups and scaleups to engage directly with global industry leaders, investors, and strategic partners. Through our partnership, participants can attend without cost, enabling them to fully leverage the festival’s offerings and accelerate their international growth.
The festival offers ample commercial opportunities tailored to fintechs at every stage, making it an unmissable occasion for companies eager to expand internationally and deepen their expertise in payments, banking partnerships, and technology innovation.
We encourage fintech founders, executives, and ecosystem supporters from Atlantic Canada to explore the festival’s program, build meaningful relationships with global industry players, investors, and partners and accelerate international growth.
